John was born in Terre Haute, Indiana, on 11 July 1921. He married Elizabeth (Betty). John died in Burnet, Texas, on 26 May 2003, at the age of 81, after 61 years of marriage. John and Elizabeth have four children (generation XIII), ten grandchildren and two step-grandchildren (generation XIV). Although the list is not complete, the children of John and Elizabeth are: Carl R., married to Julie. Another son is called Eric Benjamin, married to Catharine Michelle Leicht. The children of Eric Benjamin and Catharine are Kaitlyn Marie and Ethan Stuart. A third child of John Henry and Elizabeth is John. He and his wife have three sons: Michael (Mike), married to Lissa, with two young children Ashlyn Marie and Benjamin Boom (generation XV), son Mark and son Robbie. Robbie is married to Melissa and they have a daughter Whitney. Grandson Robbie designed the website www.vangorkoms.com to stay informed about the family and each other and to exchange family pictures.

XIIUS-g26. Francis Charlotte
Charlotte was born on 6 October 1926. She married Dwight Alva MacPherson on 23 April 1946. Five children were born: Stephen MacPherson, Damon MacPherson, Belinda Ann MacPherson, Wayne MacPherson and Craig MacPherson. She deceased in Indianapolis, Indiana, on 30 November 2002.

XIIUS-v29. Vincent Elzie
Vincent Elzie was born on 21 December 1929. He married Patricia Alice Stanley. Five children were born, of whom Michael Lynn, their second child, had died at birth. Vincent Elzie died in San Diego, California, on 16 October 1999 after a marriage of 50 years. His wife Patricia deceased on 9 April 2010.

The children (generation XIII) and grandchildren (generation XIV) are listed here: Patricia Ann was born in San Diego County in 1951. She is married to Paul Leo. They have one daughter, called Renee Regenbrecht, and two grandchildren. They live in Texas. James Edward (Jim) was born in Los Angeles County, California, in 1957. He is married to Terra Lynn Powell. Two children were born: Kelsey Lynn and James Michael. They also live in Texas. Trina Kay was born in California in 1959. She married Jay Scovie. They have one daughter Hannah Scovie. Vincent Eugene (Vincent) was born in 1963. He married Sally Fielder. They have a son called Alex Christopher. Their daughter Elizabeth Kathryn deceased on 7 April 1989. They live in California.

Jean François or John Frank was son of Isaac Van Gorkom and Christina Cornelia Sara Le Cocq (generation XUS-i51) and grandson of Isaak Van Gorkom (IX-i21) and Maria Oxenaar (generation IX-i21).

XIIUS-i06. Isaac Theodore
Isaac Theodore was born in Corsica, Douglas County, South Dakota, on 15 March 1906. He graduated from Geddes High School in Geddes, Charles Mix County, in 1923. He married in Vermillion, Clay County, South Dakota, on 24 October 1936 Mary Frances Coonrod, born in 1908. In Greenfield, Clay County, Theodore died in September 1987. One year later, in December 1988, his wife died in Greenfield as well.

XIIUS-m09. Margaret
Margaret was born on 28 January 1909. She graduated from Geddes High School in 1926. She married Donald R. Snowdon in Geddes, Charles Mix County, on 21 July 1932.

XIIUS-c13. Carl Matthew
Carl Matthew was born in Ireton, Iowa, on 27 June 1913. He graduated from Geddes High School in 1931. He married Evelyn Peterson in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on 26 March 1956. Two daughters are known and also five grandchildren of Carl and Evelyn: daughter Carla, who married Kelly Buum. Their children are: Josiane Buum, Justine Buum and Caleb Buum. Daughter Lu Ann married Smith. Their children are: Saskia Smith and Jordan Smith. Carl died on 18 September 2003, 90 years old, in Rapid City, Pennington County, SD.

Isaac was son of Isaac Van Gorkom and Christina Cornelia Sara Le Cocq (generation XUS-i51) and grandson of Isaak Van Gorkom (IX-i21) and Maria Oxenaar (generation IX-i21).

XIIUS-c04. Christina Cornelia
Christina Cornelia was born in Harrison, Douglas County, South Dakota, in 1904. She married Clifford Allan Jones in Geddes, Charles Mix, SD, on 24 February 1928. Five children are known. Dorothy Mae Jones married Harold William Ricklefs, Beverly Jean Jones married Glenn Harris, Darrel Eugene Jones married Allene Marie Benjamin, Ronald Dean Jones married Janet Marie Sabo and the last child was Richard Terry Jones.

XIIUS-w08. William Charles
Bill was born in Harrison on 22 April 1908. He married Elmyra Fox in Geddes, SD, on 2 May 1932. Three children are known. Billy Charles, who married several times. Other children were William and Nancy. William Charles died in Rock Rapids, IA, in October 1983 and was buried in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery, Charles Mix County, SD.

XIIUS-e14. Edward
Edward was born in Corsica, Douglas County, South Dakota, on 22 September 1914. Edward graduated from Geddes High School in 1937, the same school from where his cousins, the children of his uncle John Frank, had graduated. He married Edna Dorthea Wiegert in Fort Dodge on 30 December 1937. She was born on 14 October 1917. The couple lived in the Gilmore City and Rolfe area where they farmed. Edna died on 3 October 1998 in Pocahontas County, IA, and Edward died in the Pocahontas Manor Care Center in Pocahontas on 31 February 2001. He was buried in the Clinton-Garfield Cemetery near Rolfe. Three children were born. Annella Jean, who married Gerald Dee Fritz. Roger Allen, born in Fort Dodge on 5 April 1942, Webster County, Iowa, and Donald Dean, who married Linda Rae Heathman.

About Edward's son Roger Allan is more to tell. Roger Allan married twice, first to Gwendolyn Sue Heathman. Gwendolyn Sue and Roger's sister-in-law Linda Rae were probably related. On 9 December 1966, he married his second wife Peggy Ann Andrews in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He had finished his high school in Rolfe after a few early high school years in Des Moines. In 1983 he moved from Monroe to Cassville. He was a butcher for his profession. Roger Allan passed away in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Missouri, on 28 august 2005, 68 years old and was buried in Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter, Missouri. He left behind his wife, two sons, two step-sons, three daughters and eight grandchildren. The children are: Rev. Rodney, David, Craig Warden and Kent Warden and the daughters Rhonda, Robyn and Jann.
